My photo
I am a girl/woman/human who has random thoughts. Sometimes you can find me here rambling, other times i might have useful stuff to say. For the most part, my friends and family can see what I might be up to in the days events. Or, for sake of sakes, its all made up... only i know.. and MAYBE a select few of you! Either way~ I am an American living in Australia. Oh, and any photo you see on this blog IS NOT FOR YOUR USE. If I have taken the photo myself or have permission to use it, YOU CAN NOT USE IT FOR YOURSELF. So be warned... and just dont use my damn photos.

202 dead.. and now its his turn

Some justice will prevail for the man aka "smiling bomber" when he is executed for his horrible acts of killing innocent people in 2002 in Bali, Indonesia.

Enough publicity as already been giving to this man and his associates (2 others have been convicted for the crime), so I dont want to give him anymore satisfaction by adding to the mass media.

There is no confirmed date yet (as things always go in Indonesia, its always "rubber time" or "maybe tomorrow?") but it is said that anytime from November 01 until November 20th that the executions would occur. BUT, according to Indonesian Law, the convict MUST be given the exact date of execution no later than 3 days prior to the execution.

BUT: TA- DA... I hope the man who is SHOOTING you at YOUR EXECUTION is smiling when he pulls the trigger. And thankfully, you will not be around anymore to cause people harm.

Good Riddens!

I have to say that I feel a much better punishment for him would have been to keep him in solitary confinement for the rest of his days. No notoriety or martyrdom from execution, just left to rot and be forgotten about.
I reckon that'd wipe the smile of his face.
I also have an issue with capital punishment - society is saying that it is ok to kill some one who has killed. It also doesn't seem to work as a deterrent - look at the bali nine, they knew the risks.
it is a morally complex question, for sure.

anon 7:44.. agree with you there, solitary confinement would have been the best choice instead of killing him.

I would worry about them paying off the right people and suddenly "disappearing". But i think a slower death would have been appropriate, like bury in sand like the apache did and do a few slices and let the ants eat them slowly. It sounds inhumane but...they are inhumane creatures in causing pain to thousands of people and death to many. They also hurt the Bali economy sooo terribly and still are to this day. People are scared to go there which majority of population depends on the tourists.

Not sure the bali nine knew the risks. They are not a smart bunch. Lights may be on, but no one home...

yes, tilda, you may be right about the bali nine - perhaps the nine refers to their combined IQs!
